The book will start with an introductory chapter summarizing the history of the revision of the Rules, explaining the principal documentary sources to which reference will be made throughout the text The main body of the text will be set out article by article. The analysis will be structured as follows: ;The principal legislative intent behind each new or revised provision - or in respect of provisions that will remain unchanged, the reasons for the absence of change - by reference to UNCITRAL materials and the Paulsson Petrochilos Report; ;Where a provision or set of provisions is changed, or entirely new provisions are introduced, an explanation of the shortcomings of the original text of the Rules. Reference will be made not only to case-law and literature but also to other arbitration rules and the practice under those rules; ;An analysis of discrete issues under each provision, for guidance to all those who apply the Rules. It is this kind of analysis that calls for a systematic understanding of the Rules as a whole, and where references to the legislative history may be extremely valuable
