About the Author Yasemin Gökpinar, Diss. (2016), Ruhr-Universität Bochum, ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an dieser Universität und an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Wien. Ihre Forschungsthemen sind u. a. arabische Musiktheorie, deren griechische Quellen, arabische Handschriftenkunde, Textedition, mittelalterliche arabisch-islamische Musikkultur. Yasemin Gökpinar, Ph.D. (2016), Ruhr-University Bochum, is a research assistant at that university and at the Austrian Academy of Science, Vienna. Her scientific interests include Arabic music theory and its Greek sources, Arabic manuscript culture, text editions and music cultures of the Arabic Islamic Middle Ages.
