Product Description This book argues that the representation of space in the Odyssey plays a much more important role in the epic's narrative dynamics than is hitherto recognized. About the Author Ruobing Xian received his Ph.D. in Classical Philology from the University of Heidelberg (2015). He is an Associate Professor of Classics in the Department of History at Fudan University, Shanghai. He has published on Homer, Sappho, Herodotus, Greek Tragedy, and the Second Sophistic in journals including Classical Quarterly, Hermes, Philologus, and Mnemosyne. Ruobing Xian erhielt seinen Doktortitel in Klassischer Philologie an der Universität Heidelberg (2015). Er ist Associate Professor für Klassische Philologie an der historischen Fakultät der Fudan Universität in Shanghai. Er hat zu Homer, Sappho, Herodot, der griechischen Tragödie und der zweiten Sophistik veröffentlicht, unter anderem in den Zeitschriften Classical Quarterly, Hermes, Philologus und Mnemosyne.
