About the Author Seifudein Adem received his B.A. (Honors) in political science from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) in 1988, his M.A. in International Relations from the International University of Japan in 1994, and his Ph.D. in International Political Economy from the University of Tsukuba (Japan) in 1999, where he has also been teaching from 2000 to 2005. Dr. Adem is currently Research Assistant Professor in the Institute of Global Cultural Studies at Binghamton University, USA. Seifudein Adem is author of three books, of which the most recent is Hegemony and Discourse: New Perspectives on International Relations (University Press of America, 2005).
