Description
Key Features
The Town that Dreaded Sundown is a grindhouse slasher that inspired comparisons to the Texas Chain Saw Massacre due to its rural setting and raw authenticity.
This Blu-ray Region B release from 88 Films delivers the film in high definition, preserving the atmospheric horror of director Charles B Pierce's original vision.
The movie was shot on location in Texarkana using local extras, creating an uneasy and genuine sense of community fear throughout the narrative.
A sack-hooded killer drives the plot, stalking the Texarkana area and generating mounting dread as locals experience the terror of nightfall.
Based on the real 1946 Texarkana Moonlight Murders, this controversial adaptation blends historical events with grindhouse horror conventions for maximum impact.
