Obra que lo llevo a ser una de las principales figuras de la renovación y decoración de Marbella, decorando las casas de las familias y personajes de la vida social, la nobleza e intelectualidad de Marbella y su costa. Jaime Parladé también ha hecho trabajos en el extranjero en lugares como Corfú , Marrakech, Miami, Gstaad y Connecticut entre muchos otros proyectos. La gran habilidad de Parladé es la mezcla de estilos, ya sea el lujo, lo clásico o lo moderno para conseguir un ambiente ya vivido y el shabby look es lo que le gusta de verdad. Pero lo que siempre prevalece es la calidad y que todo sea muy cómodo, para que el primer impacto de cualquiera de sus obras sea atractivo y acogedor. Sus trabajos predilectos son las casas de campo o las reformas de las casas existentes, como lo son residencias en Madrid, Ciudad Real o Toledo. Con fotografías del reconocido, Ricardo Labougle, el libro lleva a cabo un recorrido por sus casas.
