La obra cuenta igualmente con una primera parte, la que introduce al lector tanto en los problemas religiosos de la alquimia como en los psicológicos que suscita; y con un epílogo que constituye una breve pero enjundiosa reflexión sobre la situación psíquico-espiritual del hombre contemporáneo.
