Incluye americanismos y regionalismos, abundantes expresiones pluriverbales, extranjerismos de uso y expresiones coloquiales o malsonantes. Incorpora el importante caudal léxico de la última edición del María Moliner, por lo que podemos afirmar que estamos ante un diccionario bien actualizado y centrado en el uso actual (se suprimen acepciones anticuadas o muy raras). Se introducen contrarios (denominación más imprecisa pero más justa para lo que suelen considerarse «antónimos» en estos diccionarios); no en gran número, porque a su vez pueden encabezar series de sinónimos.
