About the Author D. Tripathi obtained his Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and subsequently as CSIR-Research Associate and Associate Professor in Indo-US Project in this University. Presently, he is Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, J.N.V. University, Jodhpur. His area of specialization centres around Biochemical Physiology and Toxicology. He has about 28 years of research experience and supervised several Ph.D. theses. He has been Principal Investigator of various major research projects from different funding agencies including DBT, ICAR, UGS, New Delhi. He has many international research publications to his credit and authored/edited dozen of books in the area of biological sciences. He is working as Editor, Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of several Indian and foreign research journals. He is a Life Member and Fellow of many reputed scientific societies and Executive Member of learned bodies. He has received a number of Scientific Awards and Honours from various reputed institutions for his outstanding contribution in biology.
