Die Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung ist eine Persönlichkeitsstörung mit hoher Prävalenz. Allerdings hat sich nur eine Minderheit von Studien mit den Verschreibungsmustern für Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörungen befasst, insbesondere in stationären Einrichtungen. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, ein epidemiologisches und klinisches Profil von Borderline-Patienten zu erstellen, die in der Psychiatrie stationär behandelt wurden.Insgesamt haben wir 101 Fälle zusammengetragen, wobei die Prävalenz von Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörungen bei 7,3 % lag. Das Durchschnittsalter unserer ausschließlich männlichen Population betrug 29,9 Jahre. Die klinische Polymorphie ist auf eine hohe psychiatrische Komorbidität zurückzuführen. Die häufigste Komorbidität war eine Substanzgebrauchsstörung, die durchschnittliche Aufenthaltsdauer betrug 23 Tage. Schlussfolgerung: Bis heute reicht eine medikamentöse Therapie allein nicht aus, um die Komplexität der Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung zu behandeln. Die Kombination von Medikamenten und Psychotherapie kann bestimmte Dimensionen der Symptome der Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung verbessern.
