In diesem Buch wurden PPy-Nanokomposit-Pulver und -Filme mit einer Reihe von Analysetechniken charakterisiert. Mittels REM wurde die Oberflächenmorphologie untersucht, während XRD Einblicke in die Kristallstruktur lieferte. Die UV-Vis-Spektroskopie ermöglichte die Identifizierung von Verbindungen und lieferte Informationen über die Partikelgröße. FTIR wurde zur Bewertung der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Partikel eingesetzt. Die TGA untersuchte Veränderungen der physikalischen und chemischen Eigenschaften in Abhängigkeit von der Temperatur. Die elektrische Gleichstromleitfähigkeit der Proben wurde mit der Zwei-Sonden-Methode bei unterschiedlichen Temperaturen gemessen. Darüber hinaus wurden die Gassensoreigenschaften, einschließlich Ansprechzeit, Erholung, Empfindlichkeit, Selektivität, Wiederholbarkeit und Langzeitstabilität, bei Raumtemperatur bewertet.
