Este tipo pode apresentar comportamentos muito semelhantes aos humanos. De facto, a inteligência geral é mais flexível e tem a capacidade de aprender competências para realizar uma variedade muito maior de tarefas. Qualquer atividade, desde organizar os ficheiros dos gestores até tirar conclusões de experiências, pode ser executada por uma inteligência artificial geral.
