In conoscopic interferometer, the ordinary ray and extraordinary ray in crystal are used as object wave and reference wave to form an interference pattern. So conoscope is also called conoscopic Holography. Conoscope have been extensively studied in the field of crystal research and precision measurement. Especially, there is great significance in precision measurement, optical component production, crystal research, material structure research, 3D measurement, etc., and the research of conoscope is growing worldwide.The conoscopic method is an interferometric method that uses birefringence of light, and has the advantages of simplicity of the optical system, low environmental requirements, high accuracy, steep slopes measurement, and no shadow effect.Starting from this starting point, this book is written for the purpose of giving the analysis of birefringence, which is the basis for precise measurements using conoscope, the configuration of conoscopic interferometer, the fringe filtering and analysis method.
