Der zweite Teil fasst die Studie zusammen, die in einem EPE-Krankenhaus im Norden Portugals durchgeführt wurde. Hier finden wir: die Annahmen, die der Studie zugrunde lagen; die methodischen Optionen; die Entwicklung der Forschung und ein Profil der Emotionalen Intelligenz, das der Wahrnehmung der untersuchten Krankenschwestern hinsichtlich ihrer Fähigkeiten entspricht. Schließlich werden die Beiträge dieses Konstrukts für den professionellen Pflegekontext vorgestellt, und zwar in Bezug auf Management, Ausbildung und für die Krankenschwestern selbst.
