In der Gemeinde Djougou sind die Folgen der Klimadynamik für die ländliche Bevölkerung spürbar. Ziel der vorliegenden Dissertation ist es, die sozialen und demografischen Folgen der Klimadynamik in den Arrondissements Kolokondé und Pélébina zu untersuchen. Dabei werden klimatologische Daten, epidemiologische Daten, Daten aus der Agrarstatistik sowie soziodemografische und wirtschaftliche Daten verwendet. Die Klimadynamik ist eine Quelle von Krankheiten (Malaria, Hauterkrankungen, Atemwegsinfektionen), Ernährungs- und Ernährungsunsicherheit und Veränderungen der Lebensweise. Auf der demografischen Ebene führt die Klimadynamik zu räumlicher Mobilität (Emigration, Landflucht, saisonale Migration) und Sterblichkeit.Dürreperioden, verspäteter Beginn der Jahreszeiten, Verkürzung der Jahreszeiten, ungewöhnlich starke Winde und große Hitze werden als Elemente der Klimadynamik wahrgenommen. Neue Yamswurzel- und Maissorten, Sojaanbau, die Entwicklung nicht-landwirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten und die Verbindung von Kleinviehhaltung mit Landwirtschaft sind entwickelte Strategien.
