Le changement et la variabilité climatiques apparaissent rapidement comme l'un des problèmes mondiaux les plus graves qui affectent de nombreux secteurs dans le monde et sont considérés comme l'une des menaces les plus sérieuses pour le développement durable. L'impact du changement climatique dépend de la gravité de la dégradation des ressources naturelles et de la capacité technologique des populations à faire face aux changements climatiques. Le woreda de La'ilay Maichew, dans l'État régional du Tigré, n'est pas une exception dans ce contexte. Les agriculteurs ont fait des efforts pour faire face à l'impact négatif du changement et de la variabilité climatiques en utilisant différentes méthodes d'adaptation. La méthode d'adaptation est largement spécifique au site et les questions spécifiques au site nécessitent des connaissances spécifiques au site. Ainsi, cette recherche a été initiée pour répondre au manque de connaissances : évaluer les informations sur la perception des agriculteurs vis-à-vis du changement et de la variabilité climatiques et identifier les méthodes d'adaptation et les facteurs qui affectent le choix des stratégies d'adaptation par les agriculteurs. La conception quantitative a été principalement employée pour l'étude. Les données essentielles ont été collectées auprès de 130 ménages agricoles sélectionnés au hasard en utilisant un programme d'entretiens semi-structurés.
