Ce livre traite de l'analyse CFD et de l'extrusion de profilés en aluminium. Il montre les problèmes courants dans les processus d'extrusion de l'aluminium, les problèmes avec les outils, les matrices d'extrusion et surtout, il montre les solutions à ces problèmes. En utilisant COMSOL Multiphysics, l'utilisateur peut, étape par étape, trouver la solution aux problèmes qui surviennent le plus souvent, comme la pression, la force, la contrainte, la charge, les vibrations, l'influence de la chaleur sur les filières d'extrusion. La première partie du livre présente les statistiques de la consommation d'aluminium au cours des 15 dernières années. Les parties de la presse d'extrusion et les types d'outils utilisés dans l'extrusion sont expliqués théoriquement. La deuxième partie du livre présente une simulation numérique d'un profilé réel qui a été produit par la société allemande HUECK. Les paramètres utilisés dans la simulation sont les mêmes que pour le profilé extrudé, et les résultats obtenus après la simulation sont presque les mêmes que dans la réalité.
