Este libro es el resultado de una investigación que busca comprender los efectos de sentido del recurso a lo grotesco como forma expresiva en la obra de los cineastas Federico Fellini y Pedro Almodóvar. Para ello, analizamos comparativamente dos películas: 8½ (FELLINI, 1963) y Tudo Sobre Minha Mãe (ALMODÓVAR, 1999), con el fin de establecer relaciones dialógicas entre las obras analizadas y las demás producciones de los directores a partir de sus representaciones de cuerpos estigmatizados.
