Questa tesi, il cui tema è " Ragione e morale in Descartes", esamina la scissione operata dall'uomo nell'essere che è in sé unico e razionale. Infatti, la nostra apprensione primaria dell'essere lo presenta sotto forma di molteplicità. Sulla base del razionalismo cartesiano, il nostro lavoro mostra che la ragione è un principio di unità che esiste nel mondo. Da questo punto di vista, la morale naturale non è che la manifestazione esemplare di questa ragione divina. Per l'unità che lo caratterizza, l'uomo colto può essere inteso come colui che non separa i valori essenziali: attività razionale e ragione morale, conoscenza operativa ed educazione, individuazione e socializzazione. Ecco perché l'educazione, che si chiami razionalizzazione o moralizzazione, può essere pensata come un successo globale dell'uomo non appena i diversi valori non sono percepiti da lui come dualità, ma piuttosto come modi di essere dell'unica ragione la cui ricorrenza abbiamo sottolineato in Cartesio e che costituisce nella sua filosofia il fondamento della morale.
