W książce przedstawiono modelowanie, symulację i implementację opartą na procesorze DSP napędu z silnikiem synchronicznym z magnesami trwałymi (IPMSM) opartego na kontrolerze logiki rozmytej (FLC). Dla całego napędu zastosowano technikę sterowania wektorowego w pętli zamkniętej. FLC jest wykorzystywany jako inteligentny regulator prędkości. Opracowano i zaimplementowano w czasie rzeczywistym sterowany prądem falownik napięcia zasilany IPMSM. Wydajność różnych regulatorów prądu, w szczególności regulatorów histerezy i komparatora rampy dla napędu IPMSM, jest badana i porównywana zarówno teoretycznie, jak i eksperymentalnie. Sterowanie IPMSM powyżej prędkości znamionowej jest również badane z wykorzystaniem sterowania osłabianiem strumienia (FWC) przez składową d prądu stojana, id. Poniżej prędkości znamionowej rozwijana jest technika maksymalnego momentu na amper (MTPA) w celu wykorzystania momentu reluktancyjnego. Wreszcie, wydajność napędu IPMSM opartego na FLC jest badana zarówno w symulacji jak i eksperymencie w różnych warunkach.
