On observe cependant que peu d'attention sérieuse a été accordée au fil des ans à la production et aux exportations de produits à haute valeur ajoutée. Cette étude a examiné les facteurs qui ont limité la croissance souhaitée de la production et de l'exportation de produits à haute valeur ajoutée. Cette étude tente de mettre l'accent sur les avantages comparatifs et compétitifs de la production de textiles en coton et d'explorer les possibilités de passer à des produits à haute valeur ajoutée.
