Isaac Newton can be considered the last representative of Renaissance science, since in his researches he used the rational and deductive methods of that time.Renaissance science, because in his research he used the rational and deductive methods of that time. At the same time he paved the way for modern science, as he relied especially on experimentation. He was an important physicist and mathematician, who had an extraordinary influence on philosophy, for his lines of thought and his knowledge crowned the change of the conception of the world. He opened, in turn, new paths and powerfully influenced the development of science in 17th and 18th century Europe. His work in mathematics and physics was influenced by the historical and cultural context in which he lived and his contributions to the thinking of his time subsequently went beyond the realm of science and influenced philosophical, religious and social thought.
