Dans un contexte de globalisation, l’entrepreneuriat féminin s’assimile de plus en plus quasi automatiquement à un entrepreneuriat de nécessité motivé par l’obligation de créer son entreprise pour sortir de la précarité et de la pauvreté. Ainsi, l’entrepreneuriat de survie occupe une place centrale dans toutes les sociétés africaines. Il suffit de se promener dans les marchés et espaces publics africains pour s’en convaincre. Cette dichotomie pauvreté /entrepreneuriat concentre toutes les réflexions. Il s’avère difficile de quantifier du point de vue statistique, l’importance de l’entrepreneuriat de survie à travers le monde. En particulier, l’Afrique et l’Asie échappe à toute réelle statistique. De fait, l’accomplissement des pratiques entrepreneuriales par les femmes se forme à partir de leur environnement familial, religieux, économique, mais aussi politique. Comme le montre une multitude de travaux de recherche. Il semble toutefois utile de questionner ces travaux dans le contexte maghrébin et sahélien afin d’explorer des voies nouvelles pour relancer l’entrepreneuriat féminin dans cet espace régional.
