Celem tej książki jest określenie, po raz pierwszy, daty powstania Zoroastra na podstawie analizy geograficznych odniesień Awesty i nowych odkryć geograficznych w regionie Seistân, położonym na wschodnim płaskowyżu Iranu. Bezpośrednie odniesienia Awesty do geografii starożytnego Seistanu zapewniają tak szczegółową spójność i korelację z opisem historycznej geografii prehistorycznego Seistân, że nie można ich interpretować jako mitycznych.
