Dîvan Şiirinin önemli şairlerini etkilemiş olan İranlı Türk bir Sebk-i Hindî Şairi Şevket-i Buhârî'nin bir hasır gibi girift ve ince hayallerle dolu kasidelerinden örneklerin Mehmed Murad Nakşibendî tarafından şerhi hem klasik şerh geleneğinin izlerini hem de önemli bir Sebk-i Hindî şairinin şiir üslubunun incelenmesi açısından son derece önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışma, XVII. yy. İran sahası Türk şairlerinden Şevket-i Buhârî’nin kasidelerine, XIX. yy. Osmanlı şair ve âlim şahsiyetlerinden Mehmed Murad Nakşibendî’nin yazmış olduğu “Şerh-i Kasâ’id-i Mevlânâ Şevket” adlı şerh metninin, Latin harflerine transkripsiyonlu aktarımı ve incelenmesini konu edinmektedir. Şevket-i Buhârî, Sebk-i Hindî'nin İran’daki önemli temsilcilerinden olmasının yanı sıra, Osmanlı dönemi Dîvan şairlerini etkilemesi sebebiyle bizim için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Türkiye’de birçok kütüphanede Dîvanı’nın yazmasının bulunması, Dîvanı’na ve kasidelerine şerhler yazılmış olması, onun Dîvan şairleri tarafından görmüş olduğu ilginin en büyük göstergelerindendir. Çalışmaya konu olan şerh metni, Mehmed Murad Nakşibendî tarafından Şevket-i Buhârî’nin üç kasidesine yazmış olduğu şerhlerden oluşmaktadır.
