An inclusive literature review about the current syngas production technology is provided in this book in order to understand its capabilities and applications. The function of biomass as raw materials for syngas production is also given in this book. Besides, the literature review on reforming catalyst is thoroughly discussed in this chapter in terms of catalyst support, metal, promoter and deactivation. “State-of-the-art” characterization methods are employed for characterizing and evaluating lanthanide promoted Ni/Alumina catalysts. The detailed discussion for physicochemical attributes and catalytic performance are also discussed in this book.
