El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la eficacia de cuatro desparasitantes frente a nemátodos gastrointestinales en cabras lecheras de la Estación Experimental Pedro Brand del IDIAF, mediante el monitoreo de parámetros clínicos antes y después de los tratamientos. Para esta investigación se seleccionaron 44 cabras adultas de 25-40 kg de peso vivo, infestadas naturalmente con nemátodos gastrointestinales. Los tratamientos antihelmínticos aplicados a los cuatro grupos de animales consistieron en: T1= Ivermectina SC (0.2 mg/kg), T2= Albendazol VO (7.5 mg/kg), T3= Levamizol SC (8 mg/kg) y T4= Agujas de óxido de cobre VO (2 g/animal). El hematocrito, no presentó diferencias entre los tratamientos los días 0, 21, 42. Los valores promedios de ganancia de peso, condición corporal y de Famacha © no presentaron diferencias significativas. Al comparar el promedio de huevos por gramos de heces (hpg), se observó que las cabras tratadas con levamisol redujeron significativamente el hpg comparado con las cabras de los demás tratamientos y sus porcentajes de reducción de huevos fueron superiores a 97%.
