Die Wellenmikroelektronik hingegen weist eine erhöhte Funktionalität und Vorteile bei der analogen Verarbeitung auf. Im Hinblick auf die Informationsverarbeitung weisen akustische Wellen einen entscheidenden Vorteil gegenüber elektromagnetischen Wellen auf. Ihre Ausbreitungsgeschwindigkeit in festen Medien ist fünf Größenordnungen geringer als die Lichtgeschwindigkeit. Dieses Buch wurde mit Künstlicher Intelligenz übersetzt.
