Para tanto, o texto considera conceitos como desenvolvimento na escala humana, turismo situado e liberdades humanas a fim de discutir sua importância no debate atual sobre desenvolvimento regional e suas implicações nas condições materiais e imateriais de vida das populações residentes em cidades turísticas. A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo conhecer as ações dos agentes que participam do desenvolvimento turístico e regional em Cabaceiras e sua relação com a qualidade de vida da população local.
