Dans la lutte contre le paludisme, l'un des problèmes majeurs est l'utilisation efficace des MILDA. Il était alors d'intérêt de savoir comment se comportent les utilisateurs. Cette étude a permis d'apprécier le profil des utilisateurs de la MILDA. Nos enquêtés ont une bonne connaissance du paludisme. Cependant certains parmi eux n'utilisaient pas correctement la moustiquaire imprégnée, malgré qu'ils sachent qu'elle peut réduire l'incidence du paludisme. Par contre la majorité des utilisateurs affirmaient qu'elles avaient fini par s'adapter à la MILDA malgré les sensations de gêne en début d'utilisation. Aussi, la femme enceinte et l'enfant sont prioritaires à dormir sous MILDA en cas de choix. Malheureusement il y a encore des utilisateurs (11.5%), qui ont éliminé le gaz (qui gêne) en séchant la MILDA au soleil. Il s'avère alors nécessaire de mener des sensibilisations de proximité avec l'implication de tous, surtout de la communauté. La bonne utilisation de la MILDA peut diminuer considérablement les cas de paludisme grave, le taux de naissances prématurées et significativement la mortalité infantile toutes causes confondues.
