Late Professor Yaganami Karta is hereby being honored via a Festschrift, organized by his former colleagues and students of the Department of Languages and Linguistics and indeed the entire Faculty of Arts, University of Maiduguri, to mark his profound achievements and contribution to academic excellence during his life time. The theme of the Festschrift is: Language, Literature, History and Pedagogy which has been sub-categorised into five sections: Languages & Linguistics, Literature, Arts & Theatre Studies, History, Culture & Social Issues, Religious Studies & Pedagogy, Literary, Traditional Issues & Other related Linguistics field of Studies.It is pertinent to state that all contributions in this Festschrift were subjected to a rigorous peer-review mechanism. Finally, we wish to also point out that this Festschrift aims at significantly filling a lacuna in the fields of Languages, Linguistics, Culture, History & Pedagogy as well as encourage younger academics of various field in Humanities to develop interest in their areas of specialization.
