Grèce et Turquie sont les deux poumons d’un corps vivant dont la trachée est constituée par la mer Égée. Depuis l’Antiquité, depuis la guerre de Troie, ce corps lutte pour sa survie qui ne peut s’accomplir que par la préservation de l’unité des deux rives de cette mer fermée, en même temps que passage, vers le Méditerranée, de la Mer Noire jusqu’à la Crète, au travers des Détroits. Son importance stratégique planétaire est telle que depuis des milliers d’années, de l’intérieur, comme de l’extérieur de cette formation géopolitique, les puissances luttent pour s’en assurer le contrôle, lutte que l’histoire a appelé la Question d’Orient.
