Product Description Le processus de libéralisation des échanges tend à fragiliser les droits sociaux à l'échelle mondiale. Il est aujourd'hui nécessaire de rectifier la trajectoire prise par ce processus afin de lui conférer une réelle dimension sociale. Le présent ouvrage expose et évalue les différentes approches développées tant dans l'ordre international que dans les ordres internes. Alors qu'un socle commun de droits sociaux fondamentaux peut être aujourd'hui identifié, force est de constater que l'efficacité de la justice sociale dans l'ordre international demeure limitée. Les divers mécanismes conventionnels de promotion et de suivi ainsi que les actions unilatéralement entreprises pour garantir l'application de ces droits sont dans l'incapacité d'en assurer l'effectivité. Ces mécanismes induisent toutefois, en réaction, des réponses alternatives développées dans les ordres internes. Le mouvement de pénétration croissante des normes sociales internationales dans les ordres internes ainsi que le rôle accru des acteurs économiques et sociaux participent aujourd'hui à l'édification de la justice sociale. About the Author Julien Burda a reçu deux doctorats en droit international (Université Paris II, Paris) et en relations internationales (Institut de hautes études internationales, Genève) pour sa thèse sur la protection des droits sociaux fondamentaux et la dimension sociale de la mondialisation. Il travaille actuellement dans un cabinet international à Paris.
