Le but de cette étude est d’établir un bilan annuel du P pour des étangs piscicoles et d’identifier les facteurs influençant les rejets en P de piscicultures en étangs basés sur la masse de P récupéré dans les boues issues des vidanges annuelles d’une pisciculture. Une pisciculture en étang a été étudiée pendant deux années. Deux étangs similaires à fond bétonné (#1 et #2) et un étang en terre (#3) ont été sélectionnés. La caractérisation mensuelle des boues des étangs étudiés a montré que entre 63 et 91% et entre 19 et 83% du P des boues s’accumulait sous l’aérateur de surface dans l’étang à fond bétonné 2 et l’étang en terre 3, respectivement. Les résultats des vidanges annuelles des boues ont indiqué que l’étang en terre semble être plus efficace que les étangs à fond bétonné dans la récupération de P. Les bilans de P dans les étangs ont permis d’estimer que sur 100% du P ajouté par la moulée distribuée, entre 5 et 19 % a été récupéré dans la boue des vidanges annuelles. Entre 40 et 57% a été rejeté de ces étangs, ce qui a représenté de 3,8 à 6,3 kg de P rejeté par tonne de poisson produit.
