Nous étudions d'abord l'oeil comme mécanisme d'entrelacement entre soi et le monde, explicitant la lumiére et, en des perspectives plus cognitivistes, la perception visuelle, et ce explicitant l'oeil qui tisse, et articule l'espace géométrique euclidien avec son espace représentatif. Ensuite,nous interrogeons la nature même du tissu qui se situe entre objet et pensée, et s'indique par-delà le géométrisme du tissage, son sens entrelacé. Que le tissu soit un langage, nous amène à le repositionner comme la production d'un sujet parlant avec ses signes, ses rythmes, ses messages, etc. Finalement, nous rapprochons le langage du tissu au langage numérique, à l'informatique comme des modes de tressement de l'image. L'ordinateur nous apparaît comme "un métier à tisser", les images numériques comme une nouvelle forme de tramer l'image. Cette dernière en tant que matrice a des propensions infinies, elle peut être relancée par des pratiques interactives que seul le numérique permet.
