Comment se développe le processus créatif des EVGs? Quels sont les facteurs qui pourraient favoriser ou inhiber la créativité des EVGs dans une situation de conception collective? Trois études de cas ont été menées. La première analyse en profondeur le processus créatif des EVGs dans une situation de conception collective simulée. Elle a pour terrain de recherche 25 équipes virtuelles globales participant au projet "Cross-Cultural Internet Project" (CCIP). Les deux études de cas suivantes sont réalisées auprès des entreprises Capgemini et Lafarge. Les trois études de cas ont permis de clarifier le développement de la créativité des EVGs. Le processus créatif des EVGs est décomposé en sept phases. La créativité des EVGs dépend de certaines capacités individuelles des membres de l’équipe. La créativité des EVGs dépend également de certains processus et de certains états émergents tels que la conscience collective, la mémoire de groupe ou encore l’appropriation de la technologie. Cette recherche a permis également d’identifier trois leviers pour assurer la créativité des EVGs, à savoir la contiguïté, la proximité et la réflexivité.
