De nombreux composants industriels, aubes de turbine, composants du circuit de refroidissement des centrales nucléaires, sont exposés à la fissuration par fatigue thermique. Afin d'appréhender ce phénomène,un dispositif expérimental original a été mis au point, permettant de quantifier la propagation des fissures sous cyclage thermique. Des simulations numériques 3D ont été effectuées de manière automatique pour simuler la propagation d’une fissure sous gradient cyclique de température. Aucune hypothèse n'a été prise sur la forme de fissure durant la propagation. Une comparaison avec les résultats expérimentaux montre une très bonne concordance sur l’évolution du front de fissure ainsi que sur les cinétiques de propagation. Une approche analytique a également été développée. Une approche 2D a été mise en place afin de mieux comprendre l’influence de différents paramètres thermiques et géométriques. Enfin, une approche 3D, avec une fissure demeurant elliptique pendant la propagation, a abouti à une prédiction de la fissuration en largeur et profondeur tout à fait comparable à celle obtenue numériquement, mais avec des temps de calcul bien moindres.
