Dieses Werk beschäftigt sich mit der Modellierung der Progression und Radiotherapie maligner Hirntumoren. Ausgehend von der rasanten Entwicklung der Rechnerarchitekturen tritt die mathematische Modellierung seit einigen Jahrzehnten vermehrt in den Fokus der Medizin. Somit ist es zwar möglich, immer komplexere Modelle zu generieren, die Validierung dieser Modelle anhand klinischer Daten gestaltet sich aber aufgrund fehlender Informationen als schwierig. Der Fokus dieses Werkes liegt daher nicht in der Entwicklung eines weiteren, komplexen Modells, sondern darin, ein Werkzeug zu erstellen, das in einem klinischen Umfeld eingesetzt werden kann. Neben der Progression tumoröser Zellen enthält das entwickelte Tumormodell lediglich eine Beschreibung des Bestrahlungs- sowie des Tumormasseeffekts. Die zur Beschreibung des Tumorwachstums verwendeten Parameter werden mittels lokaler Sensitivitätsanalyse untersucht, um - in Hinblick auf eine patientenindividuelle Modellierung - kritische Parameter zu identifizieren. Die Ergebnisse werden genutzt, um das entwickelte Modell anhand patientenindividueller Bilddaten experimentell zu bestätigen.
