Während Band 1 die Dampfloks der BR 01 bis 45 dokumentiert, beinhaltet Band 2 die Dampfloks der BR 50 bis 99. Band 3 wird dann die Dampf- und Diesel- Traktion jener Epoche dokumentieren, anschließend folgt in mehreren Bänden die Bundesbahnzeit
