He teaches Russian, French and Ottoman history at La Trobe University in Melbourne. A graduate of Harvard, Jones has published several articles on the history and theory of the French and Russian revolutions, and five books for schools. His next project is a comparison of the origins of European revolutions, 1789-1989.
