Avec le Dictionnaire culturel en langue française, Alain Rey réussit en 2005 un nouveau coup de maître. Cela a inspiré l'idée d'un colloque international en son honneur au thème de "Cultures et Lexicographies". Henri Meschonnic a prononcé le discours d'ouverture, "Du sens des mots au sens du langage avec Alain Rey". La confrontation de deux concepts à multiples facettes a donné lieu à des questionnements enrichissants tels que la vulgarisation en étymologie (M.-J. Brochard), l'émergence du "mot français" (Fr. Mazière), le traitement des faits de culture dans les premiers glossaires hébreu-français (M. Kiwitt), la stimulation réciproque des dictionnaires de l'institution et ceux de l'entreprise privée (J. Pruvost). Un mot d'Alain Rey termine ce recueil de 14 contributions. Michaela Heinz est titulaire d'un doctorat en linguistique appliquée de l'Université d'Erlangen-Nürnberg. Elle a travaillé au sein de différentes équipes lexicographiques en France (rédaction du Nouveau Petit Robert), en Belgique, en Suisse et au Québec. Michaela Heinz est habilitée à diriger des recherches et enseigne actuellement la métalexicographie et la traduction littéraire à l'Université d'Erlangen.
