This book is dedicated to the political life of single-industry cities, to the conditions of active involvement of city-forming enterprises in the political process and to political relations formed in the triangle of the local community - local government – city-forming enterprise. A wide range of issues, including the social and political activity of city-forming enterprises, the formation and functioning of cities political elites, the position of single-industry cities in relation to economic stability and crisis are considered. An analysis of the actual political situation in some single-industry cities is given. Conceptual syntheses are made, and theoretical conclusions about determining facts of political life of single-industry cities and the forms and results of political expansion of city-forming enterprises are formulated.
