Product Description This book seeks to discuss the inevitability of the process of capital markets integration. The question as to whether the integration of capital markets in East Africa is a worthwhile venture thus begging interrogation. In light of the varying growth levels, as well as striking contrasts in institutional development, legal and currency regimes of the individual East African countries, the author discusses whether the intended integration will present more opportunities rather than challenges and impediments to the free flow of capital in the region. The author further investigates how, if at all, the integration of capital markets can be achieved in the East African Community within the existing legal framework or what adjustments may be necessary in this respect. It is such discussions that lie at the crux of this book. About the Author Dianah Nannono is a Bachelor of laws (LLB. Hons) graduate from the school of law at Makerere University-Kampala. She is currently pursuing her DIPLOMA IN LEGAL PRACTICE AT THE LAW DEVELOPMENT CENTRE-KAMPALA.
