Сообщества лососевых рыб рек Дальнего Востока находятся в тесной взаимосвязи с гидрологическими параметрами речных систем. Пространственное распределение ихтиофауны с различным рыбохозяйственным потенциалом зависит от абиотических факторов природной среды. Одновременно лососевые рыбы оказывают воздействие на сток взвешенных и влекомых наносов, а также морфологию русла. Оценка степени влияния лососевых рыб на разных стадиях их жизненного цикла на русловой режим рек и формирование режима биогенных элементов в речных системах п-ова Камчатка, позволила получить детальное представление о масштабе этих процессов. В работе сделана попытка наиболее полного описания структурных взаимодействий компонентов природной среды, формирующих сложный комплекс экосистемных процессов внутри бассейнов лососевых рек, в условиях имеющихся данных натурных наблюдений, архивных и картографических материалов.
