Diplomarbeit, die am 27.08.2001 erfolgreich an einer Universität in Deutschland im Fachbereich Soziologie eingereicht wurde. Einleitung: Die Diplomarbeit Migration, wirtschaftliche Kooperation und kulturelle Integration; Das Problem der Arbeitnehmerfreizügigkeit bei der EU-Osterweiterung am Beispiel der Grenzregion Bayern-Tschechische Republik ist während eines Praktikums bei einer deutschen Ländervertretung bei den europäischen Institutionen in Brüssel entstanden. Dabei konnte ich auf bestehende Kommunikationswege zurückgreifen, so dass die aktuellsten Diskussionen und Veröffentlichungen in die Arbeit Eingang gefunden haben. Seit Beginn der Öffnung der Staaten des ehemaligen Warschauer Pakts ist das Migrationspotential der ostmitteleuropäischen Länder in den Mittelpunkt der Aufmerksamkeit gerückt. Durch die bevorstehende EU-Osterweiterung bietet sich zwar einerseits eine einmalige Gelegenheit zur Integration der östlichen Nachbarn, andererseits sind Befürchtungen hinsichtlich einer möglichen Überschwemmung der hiesigen Arbeitsmärkte durch "billige" Arbeitskräfte entstanden. Die Ausgestaltung der Freizügigkeit ist also eine Schlüsselfrage der Osterweiterung. Ihre Lösung wird entscheiden, wie man später die EU-Osterweiterung beurteilen wird. Zum großen Teil hängen von der Frage der Freizügigkeit aber auch Stimmungslagen in der Bevölkerung ab, und damit meine ich nicht nur die bairische Bevölkerung. Auch die Menschen auf der anderen Seite der Grenze, in der Tschechischen Republik, sind betroffen. Sie werden aber nach der Erweiterung mit den Menschen hierzulande nicht nur viel enger wirtschaftlich und politisch verwoben sein, sondern auch von Mensch zu Mensch vielmehr in Kontakt treten (müssen) als bisher. Ein wirkliches Aneinanderwachsen wird aber erst mit Einführung der Freizügigkeit eintreten. In den Diskussionen und Studien die in Brüssel, Berlin oder München geführt und erarbeitet werden, wird meiner Meinung nach dieser soziologisch-kulturelle Asp...
