Description

Obwohl die Magnetitvererzung Wollanig bei Villach seit langer Zeit bekannt, liegen nur wenige Daten vor. Die geologische Entwicklung ist durch einen sauren Magmatismus kaledonischen Alters (403 ± 32 Ma) und einer mittelgradigen bis hochgradigen variszischen Metamorphose, gefolgt von einer schwachen, alpinen Diaphtorese, charakterisiert (GÖD, 1976; PLÖCHINGER, 1980).Es gibt auch Hinweise auf eine permotriassische Metamorphose zwischen der variszischen und alpidischen Metamorphose. Nach ihren Eigenschaften können die Magnetite in 3 Typen unterteilt werden: Typ 1, ein reliktischer Ti-Magnetit magmatischer Herkunft, Typ 2, entsteht durch die Rekristallisation des Typ 1 Magnetits und Typ 3 kann als Produkt der metasomatischen Prozesse interpretiert werden. Nach PETRASCHEK, W. (1927), gibt es (makroskopisch) eine große Ähnlichkeit mit dem Magnetit von Kiruna, daher wurden auch 2 Magnetit Proben von Kiruna untersucht.Die Pyroxene und Granate, die, die Kalksilikatgesteine charakterisieren, erinnern an einen Skarn, aber die Zusammensetzung der Klinopyroxene in den Kalksilikatgesteinen, die bis zu 36 Mol. % Akmit-Komponente zeigen, sind für einen Skarn ungewöhnlich...
