Ein solcher Austausch hoch sensibler Daten ist allerdings nur unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen möglich und - wie erste empirische Studien zeigen - in der Praxis kaum anzutreffen. Martin Müller untersucht, wie opportunistisches Verhalten in der Wertschöpfungskette reduziert und ein vertrauensvoller Informationsaustausch gefördert werden kann. Ausgehend von grundlegenden Konzepten des Supply Chain Management und mit Hilfe des Instrumentariums der Neuen Institutionenökonomie identifiziert er potenzielle Probleme beim Informationsaustausch und entwickelt unterschiedliche Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung von Unsicherheit und opportunistischem Verhalten.
