Am Beispiel der Textilverhandlungen der GATT-Uruguay-Runde (1986-1994) und des Wandels des Welttextilregimes veranschaulicht Philip von Schöppenthau die zentrale Rolle der Europäischen Kommission, der EU-Mitgliedstaaten und der Industrielobbies in der handelspolitischen Entscheidungsfindung der EU. Die Entscheidung für den Abbau des protektionistischen Welttextilregimes wird dabei als Ergebnis eng verzahnter Entscheidungsprozesse auf nationaler, europäischer und internationaler Ebene erklärt, die sich durch das gezielte Handeln der Kommission sowie gut organisierter Industrielobbies auszeichnen. About the Author Dr. Philip von Schöppenthau promovierte bei Prof. Dr. Michael Kreile an der FU Berlin. Seit 1996 arbeitet er als Referent für Außenwirtschaftsfragen beim Europäischen Dachverband des Einzel-, Groß- und Außenhandels (EUROCOMMERCE) in Brüssel.
