Die Arbeit basiert auf deutschen, franzosischen, belgischen und britischen Archivbestanden. Erstmals konnten die Akten des franzosischen Hohen Kommissars und Prasident der Rheinlandkommission, Paul Tivard, herangezogen werden. Einige davon werden hier erstmals publiziert."
