Description

The Greek grammar to the New Testament by Heinrich von Siebenthal has long been a standard work. All areas relevant for a well-founded text interpretation are treated. Backed findings of newer linguistics are considered without unnecessarily breaking with conventional approaches. A high scientific level combines with optimal ease of use: knowledge of classical Greek is not required. Students of a basic course should be as happy to be able to access this work as experienced exegetical workers. In the course of the work for an English-language edition and on the basis of feedback from students and colleagues, the German edition has also been further optimised in many places, especially in syntax, linguistic and content and the user-friendliness was improved once again. In the short grammar, reference is made to the corresponding paragraphs in many places, so that both works complement each other optimally and, together with the New Language Key to Greek NT and the basic course New Testament Greek, form a coordinated product family. The 2021 reissue has been improved in terms of content and language, redesigned and supplemented by a Bible reference directory that allows quick access to the corresponding paragraphs when working on a Bible text.
